Lee Sentell

The recent Phi Gamma Delta magazine had a short clip about Lee which some of you may have missed.
Congratulations to Lee!

C. Lee Sentell (Auburn 1967), tourism director for the state of Alabama, was busy promoting his state's beaches this summer following BP's oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico that devastated the area's tourism trade. Brother Sentell has been promoting tourism for 25-plus years. Since he was appointed tourism director in 2003 by Governor Bob Riley, the state's tourism industry has grown by 45% to $9.3 billion in travel-related spending annually. Since he began leading Alabama's tourism agency, it has been selected Best of the South for three of the past four years. Other campaigns, The Year of Alabama Food and the Year of Alabama Arts, have received national awards, including ones for the best state promotions. Lee serves on the boards of the Alabama Historical Commission and the Alabama State Council on the Arts.
