Brother
Outreach
Reaching
out to ALL Old-Timers
The goal of our Brother Outreach is to make a personal one-on-one contact
with every Brother in the Old-Timers cohort, from the charter members
through the class of 1972 - ten years after chartering. The Outreach
program includes mass mailings to Brothers with valid home addresses
regarding the Reunion as well as contact from an individual Brother.
While encouraging attendance at the 50th Anniversary Reunion in October
is certainly one purpose for this outreach, it is at least as important
that we gather the most up-to-date contact information for each Brother.
The most recent master database from Headquarters does not contain accurate
contact information for all Old-Timers. We will attempt to verify and
correct contact information. That's why the Brothers who have volunteered
to participate in this project will ask you for that information. We
are not asking for money! We simply want to make contact, update your
information, and of course encourage your participation in the Reunion
activities.
Regarding the Reunion itself, the motto of this outreach is "I'll
go if you'll go." Often in the past, some of us have been reluctant
to attend a Pig Dinner or other Fiji event because we think we won't
know anyone there. This once-in-a-lifetime event is one occasion when
you can be assured that you will be able to visit with brothers you
haven't seen in many years but have always wanted to reconnect with.
The brother who contacts you will probably be someone in or near your
class cohort. But it might be a Big Brother or Little Brother. He will
answer your questions or relay them to someone who can provide answers,
verify and update your contact information, and direct you to the AuburnFiji.org
website where you can find current information on schedule, lodging,
attendees, etc. He will also give you an opportunity to help our Reunion
Team. We solicit your help!
We will use your personal contact information only for Auburn Fiji business
(e.g. contacting you about the 50th Reunion or other Auburn Fiji topics).
We may distribute your personal contact information to other Auburn
Fijis, unless you decline (e.g., an Old-Timers Directory). We will not
publish your personal contact information on the Auburn Fiji Old-Timers
Facebook page, on the AuburnFiji.org website or any other place on the
internet.
